Acrylic refers to a family of synthetic, or man-made, plastic materials containing one or more derivatives of acrylic acid. The most common acrylic is polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), which is a tough, highly transparent material with excellent resistance to ultraviolet radiation and weathering.
